EPDM Primer is a rubber polymer water based roofing primer, and like its name; its been specifically designed for EPDM surfaces. EPDM Rubber is extremely hard to stick to without a quality Primer. This Primer does not react with atmospheric moisture allowing it to be opened and resealed for use at a later date.
Basic Use
Primer is used to prime EPDM roofing membranes to provide improved adhesion for the Liquid Rubber RV Roof Coating and other Liquid Rubber Coatings.
Surface Preparation
All work surfaces should be clean, dry; free of dirt, dust; debris, oils; un-adhered coatings, deteriorated membranes and other contaminants that may result in a surface that is uneven or not sound. Clean the surface with Liquid RV Smart Cleaner and wipe down with acetone prior to the application of the Primer. Primer is extremely sticky, it is best to apply on half the surface leaving a work area to stand on. Apply Primer then top coating (ie. RV Roof coating) and then repeat on the other half where you can stand on the completed side.
Limitations
- Do not use as a membrane cleaner.
- Talc, dust; oil, ice; snow or wet conditions inhibit good adhesion. Clean and dry surfaces are a necessity.
- Not to be used on TPO and PVC roof membranes.
- Install above 10C (50F) and rising
- Do not apply later in the day if Rain or Dew is forecast

Storage & Shelf Life
Store material in original unopened containers at temperatures between 40°F - 90°F (4°C - 32°C). Shelf life is 12 months when stored in unopened container.
